I used this picture of Reese for her birthday party invitations.....obviously, it is going to be a Bengal Tiger birthday party.

Since Bennett has a new love for Paula Deen, I decided to make our last cooking project of the summer be some of her recipes from her kids cookbook. So, Bennett chose to make pigs in a blanket, fruit kabobs, and broccoli w/ "magic cheese sauce." I of course used turkey instead of pork, so I guess they were really turkeys in a blanket. She loved talking about how they were cold so she was going to wrap them up in a blanket.

Marin had been wanting to make a dessert she saw in one of her American Girl magazines. They were doll sized s'mores. We heated them in the microwave for a few seconds, and then put the tops on them. Cody and I opted to have s'more "salads" - just throw it all together on a plate and heat it up - also super yummy.

Reese before bed the other night. This lion has a hole on his back, so she taped it up and now has nicknamed him "taped up back lion."
