The new couch. We went w/ a sectional. The girls think it is great to sit all together. I have a few more things to hang and curtains that I just ordered, but other than that it is set. We've done a lot of random projects this summer - this was one of them - because there just really isn't time during the school year.
Reese had her first real dentist appt. yesterday. She had been before, but never for an actual cleaning. I've stopped using the pede dentist we were going to because it was hard for all of us to fit in the room with his ego. So, the girls are now going to my dentist. They usually don't see kids younger than 5, but they made an exception for Reese. She was, as usual, a total nut about it. Before we left she told me that she wasn't going to do it, that she didn't want to go to the dentist. Two can play the mind games she plays, so I played my role my way. In the end, she did everything they asked and never even came close to balking or crying. The funny thing was that they kind of talked down to her - like you would to a "normal" three year old. But, since she has older siblings, she really doesn't appreciate being talked to like she is little. Oh, the looks she gave those nice people. But, in the end she got an orange toothbrush and her own tube of toothpaste...you would have thought she won the lottery.
