Marin is officially six and a half! She doesn't have school today, so we packed up a picnic lunch and got drinks from Sonic and went to the park of her choice. Then we came home and ate cake....strawberry w/ white icing.
This is book fair week at her school, so they had a book character parade yesterday. She was Sleeping Beauty (a bit of a disappointing choice to her elementary school librarian grandmother). It was very cute and fun to see all the different costumes.
Bennett's preschool called yesterday and I went to pick her up early because she had fallen off a slide - the poor thing has a HUGE bump on her forehead. She is fine, but that ended up throwing Reese's nap off.....that combined w/ the fact that Marin was running a fever when I picked her up from school. So, my point is that by 8:00 the 2 big girls were FAST asleep and Reese was still awake. That is unheard of in this house....usually Reese and Bennett are sleeping and Marin is in bed awake until around 9. Anyway, when Cody got home from church around 9, Reese was still talking and singing in her bed. He couldn't resist - and he went and got her out. She played w/ us for about 45 minutes - happy as could be to be playing w/ us while her "wisters" were sleeping. ah...the privilege of being the third baby :-)
