Marin had her birthday last night - a slumber party! She invited 4 friends - they were all very sweet. We had a really fun time! Marin had seen a "Hotel" theme party in an American Girl magazine, so that is what we went with. Her favorite colors right now are purple and lime green, so those were the colors for the party. Our last room to decorate in the house is the piano room, so since it is still empty, everyone slept in there. It worked well. This was Marin at the sign in table. The backpack and bags are what we did instead of gifts. We asked everyone to bring school supplies for a ministry here in town. 
Hotel employees banished to the breakfast area to eat their dinner. :-)

They have just built a little park right around the corner from our house, so we took off on a walk to the park.
Back to the house and painting pillowcases on the patio.
They made individualized trail mixes and then got ready to watch "Ramona and Beezus". I still can't get over how much I love that movie.
Everyone was tired and calm during the movie, but then as soon as it was over (at 10:45) they all got a second wind. This was everyone at 11:15ish.
Marin had requested a continential type breakfast like we have at hotels. This was my attempt at it.......she was quite pleased.
