A couple of months ago, the girls and I read one of the American Girl books (about Kirstin) that talks about St. Lucia Day. Somehow things evolved and they wanted to dress up for that day. I know the wreaths could have actually been cuter, but Marin found those styrofoam things and thought they would be perfect - I just couldn't tell her no. Thank goodess for battery operated candles, so their hair wasn't in danger. We (I) baked some scones and muffins and we surprised my parents that morning w/ "St. Lucia buns" and Marin read a bit from the book that explained the celebration. It was very cute.

Marin's first piano recital. They could use music for this one. She played Joy to the World....she says she chose that one because she knew it was Bennett's favorite.

Reese's class and 2 of the other 3-4 year old classes had a Christmas play yesterday. It was so adorable. Since the other girls only did one year of preschool, it has been kind of fun to see what Reese's class does at this age. They were the sheep. I really kind of thought she would refuse to crawl down the aisle and would just stare at everyone, but she totally participated and even did hand motions w/ the songs. She was so proud of herself.

Our little singing sheep

After the play, they had a birthday party for Jesus. Lots of icing.
