This summer has been great so far. Really, this is the first year where our kids have been old enough that summer really seems different from the school year. It has been nice to have a break from school and activities. We've spent quite a bit of time at the pool and a lot of time outside in the evenings riding bikes and visiting w/ neighbors.
Our big news is that Bennett decided last week that she wanted to learn to ride her bike w/o training wheels. Cody and I really figured she would NEVER have an interest in it and that someday we'd have to force her to learn. But, since she asked, we practiced a bit in the alley and then she decided she was ready to go to the street. We live on a cul-de-sac, thankfully. She surprised us all w/ how well she did - she has never fallen and loves to go super fast. It has been fun to see her enjoy it so much. Here are some pictures....
