so...the past few weeks have been pretty eventful around here. First, we finally got Reese's mattress up off the floor and got her into a real bed. She will be 2 in just a few weeks - she is talking like crazy. She is a climber and an overall dare devil. We have found her numerous times on the tops of tables and countertops....and her favorite thing at the pool is to repeatedly go under water and pop back up. yikes.
Bennett had a "sucker party" last week. She had to wear a thumb/finger guard for 5 weeks to break the long held habit of sucking on her fingers. So, to celebrate getting it out, we had a little party. She is doing well and in many ways is a different child now that she doesn't walk around half comotose while sucking on her fingers - so far no regression!!!
And, Marin's b-day party. Given some current situations we have going on right now, it was best to outsource the whole thing this year. A company called Oogles and googles did the whole thing - cake, invites, favors, etc. It was a fairy tale theme - lots of costumes, makeup, glitter, bubbles, scavenger hunting, etc. She had about 11 friends there - it was very cute. oh, and a scooter picture - we gave that to her last night.
And, last but not least, my baby started Kindergarten today. Her actual 6th b-day was yesterday, so it has been a big couple of days. She was very excited and did very well when we dropped her off. I think the only reason Cody and I were able to hold it together was because we feel like she is in a great environment. She has 9 kids in her class - she'll go there t/th and half a day friday and be homeschooled the other days. Bennett and Reese have been a bit lost today w/o their ringleader, but Bennett will start preschool next week...then poor Reese will be stuck with just me!
